Carers Rights Day - Thursday 20th November 2025

Join us for our Carers Rights Day event, offering free advice, wellbeing support, and engaging activities. We will be hosting our carers rights day event on Thursday 20th November at Stretford Public Hall.

Early Access (11:15am-12:00pm)

Early entry begins at 11:15am for deaf carers and carers supporting people with severe needs. A quieter environment will be provided at this time, with no music and fewer people.

Adult Carers Focus (12:00pm – 5:00pm)

Throughout the afternoon, the entire building will be open and accessible, with talks and advice covering key topics for adult carers. There will be stalls from various organisations including:

  • DWP- Disability Employment Advisors
  • HSBC Altrincham
  • Trafford Community Learning Disability Team
  • The Counselling and Family Centre
  • Hand Massages
  • Reiki
  • Crafts
  • And much more...

  • 11:00am-11:30am: Faria (Autism Foundation) - Learning about Autism
  • 12:00pm – 12:30pm: Kim (Scope) – Energy Advice; How to save energy in your home
  • 12:45pm – 1:15pm: Kerry (BBS Law) – Wills and Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) Advice
  • 1:30pm – 2:00pm: David – Direct Payments
  • 2:15pm – 3:00pm: Amber (Care UK) & Sian (Home Instead) – In-Home Care and Care Home Options

Young Carers, Parents and working carers (4pm-6pm)

Young carers, parent carers and working carers are invited from 4pm-6pm to come on in, catch the end of the event and find out what support is around Trafford.
