Trafford Carers Centre understands that caring can add financial pressures and in the 2016 State of Caring report we found that over 1/3 or carers are under financial strain as a direct result of their caring role.
Whilst we would love to have an endless pot of funds for carers to access, sadly we are unable to do so, however we do have a number of options which may be of benefit to you. Our Where To Find Funding information sheet has all the latest funders that you can speak to and below are resources and funds that may be of some help to you.
Trafford Carers Centre hold a small budget to prevent carer breakdown and support a carer in crisis should a need be identified through the assessment / review process. Trafford Carers Centre use the 3 Conversation model of assessment, which is a strength based asset approach to identifying your needs. Should a carer not be able to utilise assets there may be an option to apply for carer support fund which is presented to a panel using a scoring matrix. To learn more about the model click here
Carers Trust provide small grants for education, equipment, young carers or holidays. Applications must be made through Trafford Carers Centre. For more info on their grant schemes click here
