For Mental Health Awareness Week (18th – 24th May 2020), we are encouraging people to focus on the kindness that carers show every day, and asking you to draw a picture of a loved one, and share your picture and story with us.

Carers often find that supporting someone else can have a big impact on their mental health. Although caring can be very rewarding, it can also be difficult and upsetting, with up to 70% of carers saying that caring had contributed to their own mental health problems. Carers can find themselves isolated, with four out of five people caring for loved ones say that they have felt lonely recently.

Join us in celebrating the kindness of caring. If you’re a carer, why not draw a picture of the person you care for, or if you’re being cared for, draw a picture of your carer. Share your pictures and stories with us by emailing fundraisingteam@traffordcarerscentre.org.uk or tag us on Facebook or Twitter using @TraffordCarers.
