Three in five of us will be a carer at some point in our lives and while it can be rewarding and fulfilling, it can also be physically and mentally demanding. Carers often put their own needs last as they do their best for the person they are caring for. They find it hard to take time for themselves and they can end up feeling lonely, stressed and unwell.
Trafford Carers Centre believes that all carers have the right to be recognised, valued and able to do things they enjoy.
Our centres in Sale are a place where carers can get the support they deserve. This includes help and advice from our expert team, check-ups from our qualified nurse, complementary therapies and counselling sessions. We also run activities across Trafford, giving carers the chance to get together and spend time with people who understand what they’re going through.
We need your help! Make some time for tea and treats, connect with colleagues and customers and raise some cash for carers in Trafford.
We need to raise £400 a day to keep our doors open, so we can be there for carers in Trafford. By taking part in Care to Talk you’ll not only be raising vital funds, you’ll be raising awareness of the issues that carers face and helping highlight the support that’s available.
Bake (or buy!), brew up and be there for local carers.
