Job Title:                    Charity Shop Manager

Salary:                        £18,376-£19,742per annum, pro-rata

Hours:                        1 full-time post, 35 hours, 9.30am – 5.00pm (5 working days including Saturdays)

Or                                2 part time roles, each 17.5 hours (including Saturdays by rotation)

Based:                        2 Curzon Road, Sale

Are you a retail professional from either the commercial or not for profit sector? Are you looking to make a difference? If so, you could become part of a fantastic joint project between two local charities -Trafford Carers Centre and Manchester Carers Centre. Both charities help to support unpaid carers who are caring for a loved one with an illness or disability who couldn’t manage without their help at home. Both centres are network partners of Carers Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Charity Shop Manager to support the development of a new venture. We are looking for someone who is customer service orientated, with retail experience of running a retail store, who has a strong ability to build effective relationships with a shop team of staff and volunteers and has a proactive attitude. You’ll enjoy using your creative skills to make our shop look great and stand out from the crowd. You’ll have strong commercial awareness, business development skills, and financial skills and enjoy using your sales expertise to hit targets, ensure happy customers and support a vital community cause.

In this varied and exciting role you will be instrumental to making sure the shop is at the hub of the local community, and is an access point for local carers. You will help us develop our business and you will be an effective ambassador for carers and engage support from all sectors.
