Me, after every long run!

Me, after every long run!

Last long runs are done!  The next time I run for more than around an hour will be on race day!  (10 days to go!)

It’s taper time, which means only short runs between now and race day.  All the hard work and the long hours of training are done.  I’m passed being nervous about race day, now I’m just so excited and can’t wait to be there and feel the fantastic atmosphere and ultimately cross that finish line!  Over the course of training I’ve run over 100 miles and have got to know the streets round my home very well!  I’ve run in snow, rain, hail and finally sunshine.  It has been an incredible experience, and I would recommend it to anyone.  You really never know what you’re capable of until you try.

We’ll be having a cheer station on the last leg of the route, watch out for details on Twitter and Facebook; everyone is welcome to come and join us to cheer the runners along!  (Pom poms are optional!)
