Who supports the Centre
Trafford Carers Centre is mainly funded by Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council as part of their commitment to supporting local carers. The Council have increased their support to the Centre year on year helping us to develop new services and expand and has worked in partnership with the Centre in many different ways.
Age Concern Trafford have been the lead local voluntary organisation in helping Trafford Carers Centre to become the project it is today by managing the Centre in its early days. Age Concern Trafford also continue to support us by being part of our management committee as do other local voluntary organisations such as Trafford Care and Repair. If you would like to consider supporting the Centre by becoming a member of our management committee as an individual or as a representative of a local voluntary organisation or company, please contact our Centre Manager for further information. The Centre also receives kind donations from individuals and local groups such as churches and companies to support us in our work. All of these donations are greatly appreciated.
Making a personal donation
Any donation whether large or small is important to Trafford Carers Centre and will help us to support more carers in the Trafford area. The easiest way to give to the Centre is to simply send a cheque/postal order payable to "Trafford Carers Centre" attention of our Administrator at the Centre. We will write to thank all donors and let you know how your money will be used.
Princess Royal Trust Information
Trafford Carers Centre is a member of the Princess Royal Trust for Carers network. The Trust are an umbrella body for Carers Centres across the country.
The partnership means that carers are able to apply for individual or group funding, have access to their 'Norwich Union Breaks for Carers ' annual holiday and the wide range of support provided by their interactive web services.
Gift Aid
If you are a U.K tax payer, any donation from an individual can qualify for gift aid which increases your donation to us by 28%. For every £10 you donate we will be able to reclaim a further £2.80. In order to enable us to do this, you will need to give us your name and full address and write a declaration stating "Please treat the enclosed donation as a Gift Aid".
Legacies
Many people give generously to charity by including a specific charity in their will. You will need to seek professional advice to ensure your will is legally valid.
Fundraising Events
A great way of raising funds is by individual or group activities. We have had volunteers raise money for us through holding events, company charity days, sponsored cycling or running, raffles, collections and competitions.
