The African and Caribbean Mental Health Services (ACMHS) is a local organisation working with and for African and Caribbean people with mental ill health in and around Manchester.

AgeUK Trafford

Formerly Age Concern and Help the Aged, AgeUK Trafford offers advice and information to older people living in Trafford. They operate a number of local centres, charity shops, specialist insurance products and offer a useful handyman service.

CarersUK

CarersUK has a website offering the latest news on issues affecting carers as well as advice and support and a Carers Forum to contact fellow carers.

Counselling Directory

The Counselling Directory website provides a comprehensive database of UK counsellors ans psychtherapists with contact information and a note of their fees.

DisabledGo

This website provides details about the accessability to many public buildings across the country, including Trafford.

Disabled Living

Disabled Living provides a comprehensive range of services to improve the quality of life for disabled people, their families and carers. Their Equipment Centre provides information and advice on a range of products to help make life easier for people with disabilities and their carers.

Diversity Counselling Service

The Diversity Counselling Service is specifically for people from a Black or Minority Ethnic group who have been a victim of or witness of crime.

GMCVO

Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisations supports voluntary sector organisations across Greater Manchester.

LGBT Carers Forum

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender carers can face a lot of other issues in addition to the usual ones faced by most carers. The website, run by LGF, has a host of information to help plus online support through the Forum.

Mencap

Mencap work with people with a learning difficulty to change laws and services, challenge prejudice and directly support thousands of people to live their lives how they choose.

This is a website for people who have been allocated a personal budget for their social care where they can access information on groups, organisations and services in the Trafford area.

One Stop Resource Centre

The Resource Centre is a joint venture between NHS Trafford and Trafford Council. They provide community equipment and services for people living in Trafford who may need assistance with their daily living due to a disability.

The Princess Royal Trust for Carers

This is a national charity whose aim is to make it easier for carers to cope by providing information, support and practical help to carers. It has a network of over 100 independently managed Carers Centres across the UK, including Trafford Carers Centre.

Trafford Centre for Independent Living

Trafford Centre for Independent Living offer free, impartial, confidential and accessible information to deaf and disabled people living in Trafford.

VCAT (Voluntary and Community Action Trafford)

This organisation supports and provides guidance to new and established groups in Trafford by helping to foster networking and supplying information and opportunities for training and skill development.
