Trafford Carers Centre runs a helpline which can be accessed Monday - Friday 9:30am till 4.30pm and thanks to recent funding from Accenture, the helpline is now open until 8pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can call the helpline if you need information or if you need someone to talk to about your caring role. Often it can help to have a chat with someone who understands what you are going through and can help you through difficult days. Our helpline is run by a co-ordinator and fully trained volunteers.

The helpline also runs a telephone friendship group for carers who find it difficult to attend meetings and other support groups. From the comfort of your own living room you can join a few other carers and have some laughs, get to know each other and chat about anything from television programmes to difficulties you are having as a carer. The groups meet weekly for a set number of weeks and last about half an hour. We understand if you can't make it every week and everything that is said is confidential.

To contact the helpline service ring 0161 861 0101. As with all the services at Trafford Carers Centre it is strictly confidential.
