It may seem very early to be talking about Christmas but it will soon sneak up on us and here at Trafford Carers Centre we have already started preparing!
Christmas is a notoriously busy time in everyone’s calendar from buying and wrapping the gifts to the everyday chores of going to work or school, homework or housework. Can you imagine having the role of caring for someone who couldn’t manage without you, trying to juggle their health & wellbeing with their own and then adding the Christmas rush on top? As part of our annual fundraiser The Jingle Juggle, which asks you to put yourself in the shoes of a carer and take on extra activity, we will be holding our inaugural Elf-Scapade!
What is an Elf-Scapade?
Since the elves spend all year caring for Santa we want to celebrate their fantastic work by asking you to run free like an elf!
On Sunday 18th December at 10:30am, we are inviting you to get involved in our Elf-Scapade in Longford Park, Stretford. The Elf-Scapade is a 5K route in which participants can run, jog, walk or bounce as elves to raise funds for Trafford Carers Centre.
There is a entry fee to take part in the 5K and at the end you will receive a medal from Trafford Carers Centre as a thank you for taking part and raising sponsorship.
- Adult entry = £7.50
- Child entry = £3.50 (aged under 12)
- Family Entry = £16.00*
*2 adults & 2 children (aged under 12)
Festive dress is optional and you will be provided with an elf hat. So, come on down, take part or simply cheer on runners. Let’s fill the park with elves and get into the Christmas spirit. It is a great way to celebrate our own carers who work like elves all year round!
