Trafford Carers Centre is a not-for-profit independent, voluntary organisation. We are a limited company by guarantee (no. 4695523) and a registered charity (no. 1102075). Our services are all free and everything you tell us will be kept in confidence. We are here to help all carers and former carers living in Trafford.
Trafford Carers Centre was established in 1996 in order to provide a support for informal carers living in Trafford.
The Centre is funded mainly by Trafford Council and NHS Trafford.
Trafford Carers Centre aims to support carers to recognise their own needs, achieve their aspirations, and to ensure they are fully understood, valued and supported in their chosen caring role. We aim to:
Trafford Caring for Carers Partnership (TCCP)
The Carers Centre also works in partnership with the TCCP who provide a support network for carers of people experiencing mental health difficulties. They offer support, guidance and a listening ear, as well as mental health caseworkers who can support the carer. Trafford Caring for Carers Partnership can be contacted on 0161 746 3941 between 9.30am and 3.00pm Monday to Friday.
For more information on mental health see our Mental Health E-Book.
Trafford Carers Centre is a member of the Princess Royal Trust for Carers network. The Trust are an umbrella body for Carers Centres across the country.
The partnership means that carers may be able to apply for individual or group funding and have access to their wide range of support provided by their interactive web services.
