Job summary:

Trafford Carers Centre is seeking a Young Carer Officer to support and engage with young carers across Trafford through home/school visits, assessment, activities and group work/projects.

Trafford Carers Centre, is the Lead provider for Trafford Council and Trafford CCG to deliver first line support and information services to young carers aged 5-25 in Trafford.

The successful candidate(s) will help to develop and shape the Young Carer Project going forward as we look to enhance our support service.

Job share option will be considered as two 17.5 hour contracts. The role can be split into two areas. Area one concentrates on the casework side of the role. Engaging with young carers through 1-2-1 meetings at school, community groups, and home visits. This area requires extensive communication with multiple agencies. Area two concentrates on the group work side of the role, developing the project and running activities/programmes.

Contract: 35 Hours per week permanent contract following successful completion of 6 month probation period. Part-time job share option will be considered. Please state on your application if you are looking for full time or part-time job share.

Salary: £18,376 (pro rata)
